Each student will have a classroom copy he can use in class. A digital version of the book will be available A digital workbook will be available Materials the students will need: a pocket folder so that materials can be easily added or removed a notebook for taking notes pencils and pens Class expectations: respect of yourself, others and the classroom honesty and fairness be ready to start work when the bell rings be alert to follow the teachers instructions work in class on your own or as a team come prepared each and every day demonstrate high quality work complete all work to the best of your ability ALL NAHS DISTRICT RULES apply AT ALL TIMES Homework/Late Work/Make up Work All make-up work/assignments/class notes are the responsibility of the student. Assignments are due within 5 school days from the day you return to class; failure to do so will result in a zero Make up tests/quizzes are to be made up within 10 school days. Class guidelines to ensure the best grade possible Constant attention to class activities Active listening Note-taking Enthusiasm for learning and a positive attitude Use Spanish whenever it is possible Volunteering for classroom activities Being on task for all individual or group activities The Key to learning a foreign language is class participation, daily practice, and review at home Take 20 minutes a day to review your notes on vocabulary and grammar learned at school. Then, complete your homework for the following day, if any. Students should use the student resources on the book digital version to help them review at home. *Note that learning a language is like learning Math. You have to build a foundation first and then you will have to build on that knowledge. You will have to go over the materials learned in class and practice them because every subsequent lesson is based on the previous one. Moreover, speaking is a fundamental part of learning a language; students should read aloud and practice any assignments orally.
